15"h x 8"w - White Top Burl Vessel. The legs and "floating" finial are dyed sassafras. This piece is the 3rd in a series of elevated vessels.
Chosen for AAW exhibit "A Walk In The Woods" 24.5" x 13.25" x 8.0" - Main vessel is Jarrah Burl, the vines and leaves are dyed and bent ash comp wood and the base is a siberian elm knot.
11" X 8.5" - Vessel is Silky Oak. The supports are Lacewood and the connectors are maple painted with metallic acrylic paint.
9"h X 9"w - Boxelder hollow vessel. Awarded first place in the Peoples' Choice award at the Tennessee Association of Woodturners symposium in January, 2008.

Out of the blue, I was contacted by a custom drum-maker who had seen my web site. He inquired if I could help him with the idea of turning a drum from precisely cut staves. I turned the drum-he assembled the hardware. We created two custom drums: one was sold, the other given to my son-a music major at the University of Tennessee-for a graduation gift.
